Hi it’s Barry from D.R. It looks like we’re going to have a lot of company over the next few years. Check out these two posts and see the latest additions in whose renouncing their citizenship and becoming expats. You might find it interesting to know that while the numbers are still small the percentage is up over three fold since two years ago. Expect this to start taking on a domino effect and rapidly increasing over the coming years. A process that once took only six months is currently taking over two and a half years to complete. Of course it’s the affluent and informed renouncing and expatriating. I’m confident this doesn’t come as a shocking bit of news to you,but haven’t you notice it’s always that same selected group who chooses to be proactive while the large majority remains in the dangerous reactive world of fear. The question you ought to be asking yourself right about now is WHY? Remember from past posts always question the WHY’S on anything. WHY is the most prominent word whenever you begin questioning or investigating any state of affairs. Their WHY is they no longer want to be the fuel used to run the machine, the tax machine? What’s your WHY? WHY are you still continuing to be the fuel? No matter what choice you make premium, regular, ethanol or even diesel in the end if you stay you going to get burned.
Since time is a flexible commodity here in Cabrera, Dominican Republic things are constantly flowing in a smooth leisurely pace. A relaxed pace of life that seems to suite my family just fine. We’re continuously entertaining guests that seem to effortlessly adapt to the pace and love being here in Cabrera. Perhaps you would too but that’s an answer best reserved for the return effects. The cause would be first deciding to visit.
IN spite of what you’ve come to believe Americans are actually very scared and introverted when off of their home turf. It still astonishes me when most of these guests first arrived for their visit how timid and scared they were. You know all the brainwashed ideas placed in their head about those dreaded dangerous THIRD WORLD COUNTRY’S!
What’s amazing though, when the time approaches to depart and head on back home I couldn’t help but notice the sad looks on all their faces. What was fear just two weeks prior has transformed to feelings of freedom and belonging. Two of many feelings long ago forgotten by most. On several occasions those newly awakened spirits soon lead to tears. Tears that start flowing right at the table, OUR BEER TABLE!!!
The children crying I don’t want to leave I love this place I feel so safe here! It doesn’t matter if their five or nineteen the feelings are always the same. A sense of BELONGING is the most craved of all feelings as it leads to a sense of love. Without this sense of belonging love can never follow. Still to this day I hate that crying at the table crap while I’m drinking my Beer. Just can’t get used to it. THERE’S NO CRYING IN BEER DRINKING!!! Maybe when it’s over, but that’s another blog for another time.
So Long and Thanks For All The Taxes n’ Regulations: More Renounce US Citizenships
“So Long…and Thanks for All the Taxes n’ Regulations!”: More Renounce US Citizenships -By Justin O’Connell The newest list of “renouncers”, as the Wall Street Journal calls them, has been released. According to the paper, the list includes a buyout specialist at the Carlyle Group, a private equity executive at J.P. Morgan Chase, as well as a big-law partner, an international socialite, an Israeli Supreme Court justice, and a London-based artist. These individuals saw through the propaganda about the United States being the “land of the free”. They renounced their US citizenships or turned — in the case of those with permanent resident status — they turned in their “green cards”.
US government proposes law making it illegal for them to kill you
“August 7, 2012 Oxford, England Last Friday, US Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced HR 6357, a bill which aims to ‘prohibit the extrajudicial killing of United States citizens’ by the federal government. In other words, in the Land of the Free, they need to pass a law to prevent the government from indiscriminately murdering its own citizens.”
I’ve had several requests asking for more information about our magical town of Cabrera. It pleases all of the team at DRescapes.com to see the recent queries. With this in mind we welcome you to the new weekly personal blog called “Under The Mango Tree”. Cabrera is truly a enchanted place that time has forgotten but technology remembered. The town of Cabrera offers Internet, excellent utilities, all new infill structure and perhaps for some the best is that fiber optic’s systems are soon to arrive. They’re about 65% completed and due to finish in 2013.
Come on down and check us out. What have you got to loose but your stress and If you’re worried about that… don’t. Consider looking at stress similar to that of a loyal dog. When you return EITHER will be waiting at the front door to greet you. I’m sick of following my dreams. I’m just going to ask them where they’re going and hook up with them later. When I did we ended up in the D.R. and in the town of Cabrera. This is Barry in D.R. and I’m out.
